Dream Communication

• Kavinsky has the ability to enter the dreams of others, appearing as himself and performing minor dream manipulation. No high-octane nightmare fuel! Willpower can resist, and OOC permission is explicitly required.

Serial Killing

• As a consequence of extensive psychological conditioning and medical interventions with retired Hannibal castmembers, Kavinsky periodically has the compulsion to murder people, generally evildoers.

• This has the psychological effect of boosting his mood and reducing depressive symptoms (e.g., reduced libido, sadness, apathy).

Furthermore, in August 2017, Kavinsky will become a hybrid vampire, a fledgling of Rafaello D'Este (mordacita), retaining his dream thief abilities through use of an additional incentive. Please let me know if you OOCly want to limit his use of vampire powers by reading about his abilities then filling out the form below.

Vampire Powers

Kavinsky has been turned into a vampire hybrid by Rafaello D'Este. Due to this, he has inherited all of his sire's abilities and weaknesses, detailed below.

• He does not age, and is not affected by human illnesses or poisons. He appears around 20 years old, since he was that age when turned.
  
• He is physically stronger, faster and more agile than the average human. He can cross a room in the blink of an eye, and lift a small car with one hand.
  
• His body has proportionate durability to his strength, meaning that it is more difficult to injure him as his skin and bones are harder to break. For example, human nails could not break his skin, but another vampire (or a creature of similar or greater strength) could do it, and he can be cut by knives and wounded by bullets.
  
• He heals more quickly than humans. More severe injuries take longer to heal; burns take longest of all. Very severe injuries will require him to feed as soon as possible.
  
• The combination of durability and healing gives him a higher pain tolerance than most humans.
  
• His senses are enhanced, as follows:
  
  • SIGHT: He sees well in darkness, and can see clearly from the light of the stars. His eyes are are also sharper than human eyes, able to read at a greater distance and able to pick up on details too small for humans to see. Bright light (i.e. daylight) would hurt his eyes.
    
    
  • HEARING: His hearing is sensitive enough to hear the heartbeats of those nearby.
    
    
  • SMELL: Similar to a wolf or a dog, vampires have an excellent sense of smell that allows them to pick up on the scent of their prey. He is able to detect chemical changes in a human’s scent which alerts him to responses like fear or arousal.
    
    
  • TASTE: His taste is not enhanced, but it is changed; he thirsts only for blood, and can detect different flavours when other chemicals such as hormones and enzymes are present. Human food tends to be unappealing.
• As a final note, Kavinsky inherited significant weaknesses as outlined in his sire's application. It should be noted that vampires of his canon have a major weakness to Magic, in that they're basically allergic to it. Kavinsky retains this weakness, although his own magic does not burn him.

Additionally, Kavinsky's blood has properties which human blood does not. These are as follows:

• PROCREATION: He can create other vampires. This involves a complete exchange of blood, i.e. he must drain the human completely, and then feed his own blood supply to them. The process therefore leaves Kavinsky weakened, and so he is unlikely to turn anyone on a whim.
  
  
• HEALING: In small doses, his blood will heal humans without turning them. It can be locally applied to a wound to heal it, or it can be ingested to heal broken bones. It cannot be used to heal human sickness, or poisonings, but does work to both speed up natural healing, and kill pain.
  
  
• ADDICTION: Healing comes at a cost; Kavinsky's blood is highly addictive, comparable to morphine or heroin. Using it once, or even several times, is likely to be safe; however, habitual drinking will cause addiction. Its healing and painkilling properties come with a sense of euphoria, and it will induce a thirst that makes humans crave more. Addiction can be treated by ingesting garlic.

Perfect! I'm pretty flexible. Note Kavinsky has limited invulnerability as one of his other powers (i.e., only healing and amplification powers adversely affect him, nullification aside). However, he's still definitely susceptible to pain and fear, so whatever happens I'd be happy to work through any retaliations with you.

Other notes: Both of the above characters are computer programs/AI, so if his power doesn't work on them, they'd be immune. It's also possible it might mix up which powers apply? Rinzler is in a digital body, so he's literally code walking around, and his disks (main weapons) are extensions of him-- touching them would presumably do the same as touching him (possibly with more permanent effects, since they're used for code edits). The mainframe, on the other hand, is an AI distributed through the ship's systems whose core functions are tied to one terminal in his room.

It's probably also worth noting that Rinzler would be incited to extreme violence by emotional manipulation-- assuming, of course, he recognized the effect.

The only thing that creeps me out is very specific kind of body horror: situation where person loses sense of their self along forced body changes (think of the donkey scene in Pinocchio). As for J, well I'm pretty sure you're already aware of some things about her. She's had plenty horrible experiences with sex and is a rape victim -- although she doesn't see it like that. In general she sometimes has very hard time with consenting and her idea of it is pretty questionable. She'll pretty much do anything the other person wants to even if she wouldn't be fan of the thing.
