It's meant to be a consequence of the failure to dream. Ronan called it being "unmade". When I began dreaming with him, it was because I wanted to prevent it from happening. He was having difficulty dreaming alone. Finding things that wanted to be made.

It happened before when I took him with me to destroy the Death Star. The nanites, perhaps. Distance from the Porter. Other imPorts experienced interruptions to their powers. But he recovered once we were back in range.
